why are camera owners different to other consumers

Once someone purchases a camera however they seem to want reviewers to report that they bought the right one. They want other users to tell them how clever they were in choosing the same camera as them and best of all they want to tell users of other cameras why their own choice was so much better.

We are a strange bunch!
