Anybody elses new 24-70 mark II seem soft on one side?

My experience with dozens of lenses over 4 decades is that few of them ever perfectly centred. The risk grows with the complexity of zoom lenses. If you have one where you can just see a slight difference between the sides/corners at large magnification you should be happy and stay with it because the next one will probably be worse.

From the images you post, I would say you have a case for not accepting your copy of the 24-70 II. The decentering would be hard to accept on a cheap lens but is innacceptable in a $2500 lens, as you say.
