Impressions that makes sense:

  1. Fuji knows x-tans Raw processing (in camera and silkypix)
  2. Software development, when you know the algorithms, is no magic. The magic part is only in the algorithms. Fuji knows them.
  3. Fuji is very good at supporting their product (remember all updates so far)
  4. They are working with Adobe (read 3 + forums)

The "working with Adobe" is a PR line, there is no proof that anything is actually happening. How long ago was that statement made? What has happened since then? Not much by all accounts. Again, read the Chromasoft blog for a dose of reality rather than corporate spin.
You will also see that point 1 is irrelevant if Fujufilm don't share, point 2 is plain wrong (to paraphrase Clarke "a technology sufficiently advanced to make it extremely hard to implement might as well be magic"), point 3 is irrelevant (as we are talking about Fujifilm helping software developers not juste helping themselves), and point 4 is a repeat of a single noncommittal sentence of PR spin from a single Fujifilm person on one occasion trying to defend the lack of 3rd party RAW support (what did you expect a PR rep to do, say "yeah we don't care about Adobe they can go jump"?).

"Impressions that makes sense" - very important introduction... When facts are missing people tend to fill the blanks, tergiversate. It is important look at the broad picture in such a situation. This may end as a very good "educated" guess.

Photography is great, isn't it? It makes me relax.
Bonne nuit.
