Why are camera owners so protective/defensive about their purchases. I have a Citroen C3 which I bought 8 years ago. It has served me very well but I have never felt the need to tell other people why their car is wrong and they should have had one like mine. I have a 32inch flat screen TV and to be honest without wandering downstairs to have a look I’m not even sure what is. I think it’s an LG . I know I did my homework when I bought it. I don’t go on LG forums, not surprising really, and defend its qualities over all of it’s rivals.

Once someone purchases a camera however they seem to want reviewers to report that they bought the right one. They want other users to tell them how clever they were in choosing the same camera as them and best of all they want to tell users of other cameras why their own choice was so much better.

We are a strange bunch!
