7D Thanksgiving fun pic - "My Food"

I saw my kids eating their drumsticks by candlelight and thought I'd experiment with my 10-22mm, knowing that a close-up shot would distort the subject.  My son refused to pose but my daughter played along.  Here's the candlelight shot I got:

Later, my son and I went out to throw the football.  I happened to notice the golden sunlight on a tree with the moon just off to the left of it.  You guessed it...camera time.  Here are a couple of shots:

I had to home in on this, as it was initially as light as the above photo and showed no detail.

After pulling this up on the computer, I fooled around a bit in DPP, PS, and Sagelight Photo Editor to end up with this (I know it's not perfect, but it was fun, nonetheless):
