I Think its Time for Canon to Start Using Sony Sensors...

As an avid Canon DSLR/Lens owner, I say this with no disrespect, but it is time for Canon to consider using Sony sensors in their DSLRs. I know many folks agree with me. We love the ergonomics of the Canon camera bodies. We love the awesome Canon lenses. We love the bundled software and even the ML firmware hacks, but good grief, can we get a decent, modern sensor in the next generation of DSLRs???

Regarding Canon's 1.6crop sensor, it is now in its 4th iteration (7D > 60D > 600D > 650D) with no appreciable increase in DR, ISO, bit depth performance. Meanwhile, Nikon, Sony, Pentax, and even Olympus owners are enjoying state-of-the-art image quality from their newest generation camera bodies. Meanwhile, Canon owners seem to be stuck in 2009! Even with Canon's latest, greatest FF sensors, it's as if they've hit a brick wall...

Is anyone else thinking this way?

Regards,
