Nikon V1 - What do you love and hate about your camera?

I'm over 5,000 shots into a J1 (bought in June). Most of your questions apply just the same to the J1, so I'll bite.

Performance is a strong point. Camera turns on quickly. AF is snappy and accurate. Except in low-light, where it'll hunt a bit and take a second to lock.

The 10-30 is quite good for a kit lens, and the VR is effective. The 30-110 is even better and remarkably compact for its range. The 10 pancake is nice, if you're looking for something compact.

What do I hate? Battery life (bring spares), off-lens manual focus, lens lineup and the accidentally flipping mode dial.

Overall, I'm pleased with my J1 and would recommend it as a second camera if you're planning to keep the DSLR.
