I can tell you that the Sigma does not give the subject isolation of a faster lens. It's not really doable to blur our the background with the Sigma. However, it is optically as good as any lens out there. I doubt the Sony will perform as well sharpness wise. OSS is always a great thing though... Huge advantage on any lens if you ask me.
