I will try a flat sucject test with tripod today to make sure. I also don't know the field curvature with this lens. I doubt it is straight.

In the very centre (the few shots I tried with it so far) the sigma 30mm and the kitliens at 30mm are both very equal. but at midframe or border the sigma is better for sure.

Alas, it's impossible to say. At f/4 it's unlikely that both the background trees and the foreground dirt -- the things in the corners -- are both in focus. In fact neither of them may be in focus since the plane of focus appears to intersect the gazebo-like structure in the middle of the frame.
That's why it's important to photograph flat subjects, taking great care to keep the sensor plane parallel to the subject plane.
My 18-55 is sharp enough from about 25-40mm, but it's nowhere near as sharp in the center or corners as my Sigma 30mm is, even wide open. I don't shoot it much anymore for that reason. I get much better results from the Sigma 19mm and 30mm lenses.
All I can tell you based on the one image you posted is that nothing jumps out at me that makes me think you have a bad copy of the lens.
