Well, the "order of operations" may matter. If one manages to record some images that may meet all of one's hopes and expectations, that's great. However, if such intended results turn out (for any reason) to not be the actual case in practice, then hindsight might suggest that theoretical analysis preceding such practice might well possibly be more productive and more efficient in the end ...
