140mm v 100mm = 'big difference'

What about the fancy and expensive part? 140 mm is not much different for you, but for me it is a big difference. F1.8 is just a teaser on XF1. F200 was a practical, utilitarian compact with money spent where it matters, not on a stupid lens contraption which means having to use the small camera with two hands always.

A quick crop and I have 140mm. Very easy.

'A quick crop' and you can have 1,000mm if you like - but it's not a compelling justification.

140mm versus 100mm is a big difference - it's the difference equivalent to doubling/halving the mega-pixel count of an sensor/image.
