A57 lens choice help

I have also been tossing up getting the new sony 55-300 zoom so I can do some wildlife photo's with a bit more reach but still have the advantage of the 55 when close.  No sure though if the auto focus is fast enough for sporting events of the kids running around.  Will have to wait for some more reviews.  At $350 though not a bad price at all.

The Tamron 70-300 USD looked good but it is a heavy bulky bit of gear and maybe not as carry around friendly as the Sony, even if the USD is silent and fast.  Can't have everything I guess.

The 35f1.8 is taking some nice shots so definitely enjoying using it.   Just have to change my thinking on how to take the shots with not having any zoom.  fun to learn new stuff though.
