I am no defender of KR but he is entitled to his opinions like anyone else. It is a fact that perception of colour varies between individuals , the obvious examples being frank colour blindness but more subtle alterations in colour appreciation must exist.

Sony colours have been criticised as being too accurate & I suspect that there is some truth in this observation. I , too, find Sony WB sometimes a little cool but not always , sensors see colour differently from the human eye & often WB needs some tweaking  & I often tweak colors ,  not to make them more accurate but more pleasing to my eye. It is a shame that for Jpegs the saturation & Vivid settings are not moe finely adjustable ( a suitable subject for an AP ? )

Minolta colour has been mentioned & colour rendering reached its peak in the 5D in my opinion, the colours of the first Sony DSLR , the A100 , were more neutral in my opinion although they have been boosted sightly in later models. Anyone who induges in PP has a tendancy to go too far & a moderating influence should be the opinion of others whose perceptions are not biased by all the work put into ` improving ` an image !
