There are several ways to effect the depth of field of a subject, NOT just adjusting the aperture on the lens. Sadly this guy is lazy. He wasn't willing to explain to folks watching those said methods of achieving better bokeh by manipulating the circumstances, such as lens to subject distance. Also choice of lens focal length. For example I've taken subjects shot with a 300mm lens at it's lowest aperture and gotten a background that was not only diffused but nearly GONE. So he is highly limiting the scope of the understanding of how to get good bokeh. The blanket statement he made however may be true (it's easier on a FF camera sensor than say a mFt, but the key element is "easier" not just MORE possible.
