Several months ago I made the decision to invest in a D7000 as I wanted the increased quality as wekk as more control over the images I capture. I had always used an outside lab for printing.
After owning the camera for a few months now and starting to get the hang of it, I was over a friends house who has the same camera, but also has a good printer. We discussed the merits of owning a printer, and his rationale made a lot of sense to me. That is, the image you see on a monitor, even a very good one will look different in an actual print. With your own printer you can adjust 'on the fly.' The result can be exactly what you want.....which equals more fun.
I bought a Pro9500 MkII. At the current price it made cents (my 2) to me.
