Well, if the faster lens of the G15 is deemed innovative, rather than evolutionary, then presumably the LX7 is also innovative and yet managed only a 'silver'.

I have looked at other sources for A/F speed like chip.de. Unless I missed it, you mentioned that it had improved by 20-30% over the G12 but I didn't see an actual figure. Did i miss it? The 2.1fps continuous with focus you mention compares with 5 for LX7 and 2.5 for RX100 for example.
