My impression of Nikon is that they are so large that a single user with an issue like this soon becomes lost in the machinery. That's what I always hated about Nikon. They don't have personable service.

Hi Christoph,

no, not yet. I am still travelling, and to be honest, tired of Nikon practices. I will wait to see real evidences that there is a fix, but I am afraid that they have just fixed the production lines and will just ignore all the customers who have bought defective cameras till their cameras run out of warranty...

So far, I regret to have moved to Nikon. That's a pity since the camera feels great in your hand, but they simply ruined it.

Cheers

Phil

That is indeed horrible. Have you gone back to Nikon about this? If so, what did the company say? Knowing that Nikon is like this does not make me comfortable about buying a D800.

Damned, I was sure that I had posted this already but cannot find it, so sorry if you have already read it earlier might be in another post...

I was under the impression that my D800 got fixed with mine sent to Nikon France 3 times, but unfortunately, using Focal and making other tests, it shows that what Nikon did is too bring the right side at the same bad level as the left side, giving you the false impression that the problem has been fixed!

Too show this, looks how bad are now the results for lef and right compare to center! Before the best side was about 100+ below the center vs 500 points now!!!

NIKON IS THIS WAHT YOU CALL A FIX??????
