Epson Printers

I have had two Epson printers, an R800 (believe it was that) and an R1800.
I liked them both, but....
In the case of the first one the main board fried, after moderate use, and it would have been more expensive to replace it than buy a new printer.
The R1800 developed the "pads full of ink" lockup. It took it in for repair, paid $100+. They reset it, and said, "Oh, by the way there really wasn't much ink on the pads. It is determined by a counter."
But it started giving error codes and now is locked up again.
In both cases I probably had only a few hundred prints on each machine.
What a rip off!!!
