The Samyang extreme wide angle lens is one approach.  And I trust Tim that it works very well.  I read his write-up on the Samyang.

But 14mm is just awfully wide for a lot of landscapes.  You can crop it later but that negates some of the advantages of 36 MP for large prints.  My widest lens is the Nikon 17-35.  And I rarely use it at 17mm.

Personally, I'm waiting for the Samyang 24mm tilt-shift lens to come out.  With any luck, the price will be very reasonable.  I'd rather spend the money on this lens than on the 14mm which will sit in my bag most of the time.  And with extra luck the 24mm t/s lens will be sharp when used without any movements.
