Camera suggestions for golf blog
|
I've just recently launched a golf blog, and there's another one in the works. I've currently got a (6 year old) Canon PS SD800 IS, which I'm reasonable happy with, but its short focal length zoom (4.6-17.3) doesn't give me as much as I need sometimes.
I'm looking to take both golf landscapes, as well as action shots, and photos of people interacting (candids). The camera needs to be small enough and simple enough to take pictures during a round of golf without interrupting things too much.
The size and simplicity of the Canon is great for that, but a longer FL zoom I think would be handy. The other thing I find is on bright sunny days, the viewfinder screen is washed out and the small optical viewfinder is poor at best.
Of course, I don't want to spend huge sums of money, but am willing to invest in a quality system.
I'm intrigued by the compact system cameras, but they're a little high priced, and maybe just a bit too complex for my use.
I'm open to any and all suggestions.
Thanks!
