if possible , wait , but if you need a camera very soon , then go with the D600(safer).
I have had 5 bad D800/e this year and almost giving up getting a proper working D800 camera.
well, the D600 is potentially not as good as the D800 but at least not having any serious fatal issue.
the dust issue with the D600 is exaggerated and it is easy to clean but the left focus or bad LCD or but VF issue of the D800/e is not a easy-to-fix kind of issue.
so, for now avoid the D800 and E.
