Today I stood almost for an hour in a queue to see a flower. This was for sure no ordinary flower, it was the Titan Arum (Amorphophallus titanum) at the botanic garden, University of Basel. According to Wikipedia this is the flowering plant with the largest unbranched inflorescence in the world. It takes years for the flower to grow, and the flower opens for a day or two. Then it is all over, and you have to wait for some years for the next flower show! The plant can be almost 3 meter high and weight as much as a grown up person.
THANK YOU so very much for posting!
