What makes you say that?
From a quantitative test perspective the 5N has better low light performance and so does NEX-7 (c.f. DXOMark).
To hoppag (thread starter):
I do not understand why you are not happy with the Sigma 19/2.8 when you liked the 14/2.5 on the Oly. The 5N should at least be 1.5 stops and maybe even 2 stops better that the E-PL1 when it comes to low light performance (newer gen and bigger sensor), this means that ISO1600 on the 5N will be as clean as ISO400-800 on the E-PL1.
The OMD might fit your need the best when it comes to non-stabilized lenses, but if you use for example the 35/1.8 OSS with the 5N combo then no m43 combo can match it in low light performance if you want good AF as well. Also remember the better DOF control you get with the bigger sensor if you would want to vary your style of shooting in the future (personally I cannot go smaller than APS-C anymore because of the bokeh addiction).
In the end however, follow your heart because cameras are not just sensors and AF, the one you feel handles best is probably the one you will like the most over time.
I moved over to the NEX system as the 14/2.5 wasn't fast enough. Figured before I started expanding my lens collection I should settle on a system.
Half of me thinks that I should stick with the bigger sensor NEX system, get some good glass and eventually Sony will bring out a body which destroys any MFT offering.
The other half thinks that great IBIS, great AF, great (more) affordable lenses and a great sensor is already available in MFT... so why am I not using that.
I agree that the sel35f18 might be a game changer so I'll probably stick out with the NEX system until that's out and then see how sharp / good it is.
Am I right in thinking that OSS is less/not useful when shooting at higher shutter speeds (not crazy fast, 1/60 - 1/160)?
