Does anyone else find many of these posts banal?

*I see more disparity between the D600 people and the D800/E people than between D4 and D800E. However, there is quite a bit of crossover. There are experienced pros using all models, and there complete novices using D3 and D4 models.

You could probably clean the forum up considerably by excluding people who don't have any Nikon FX body.*

what i find amusing is that people (some) actually liken the "bad behaviour" of some members to some sort of disparity between those who shoot FX vs DX. what a joke. i currently own a D7000, have purchased both 24-70mm and 70-200mm lenses as part of my committment to this craft, and hope to eventually get into the FX realm. but to assume simply b/c i don't shoot FX (600/800/D4 et al), that i'm somehow more prone to poor/juvenile forum behaviour is laughable.

it borders on elitest narcissism actually.

everywhere on ANY forum, with ANY subject, and ANY topic, there is an abundance of "members" who post simply to be arses. what? would u believe it's only HERE on this beloved FX forum? sorry, but no. the issue is primarily one where there are no moderators present to police these boards and reduce/eliminate "trollish" behaviour.

i came to this particular forum b/c i have been trying to decide between a 600 and an 800, see some samples, get some opinions and reviews. and guess what? it's the same childish behaviour here as elsewhere all over the net. it has NOTHING to do with some new crop of photographers not being "learned" enough to exhibit proper board etiquette and respect. it has everything to do with bad apples creating bad forums.

criticise those new to FX all u wish if that makes u happy, but know u're missing the entire point. don't believe me? go check out ANY msn story or yahoo story, and read the comments, and u'll quyickly be reminded likely none of those all have DX or FX in common. there are just always going to be jerks amongst us.
