Firefox 17 active window?

I didn't have the tab issue, but for me ClearType (or as someone said, "SmearType") was enabled for everything in Firefox 17. It seems the temporary fix is to either disable hardware acceleration, or to change gfx.direct2d.disabled to true in About:Config, then restart Firefox, which is what I did.
