SX50 w/ Canon 500D Close Ups

I would like to ask for more help because it is not easy to find someone who knows a lot about it.

1. When attach 500D on the SX50, and you zoom in all the way to 1200mm tele end, you get 2.4x manification. How is the image quality of full resolution image? Can you post some full resolution images as example?

2. Macro lens has 1x ratio, so does 2.4x in this case have more ability to shot smaller insect than macro lens?
