As far as I can tell, there is no way to do it, I couldn't find it. It is indeed a (minor) annoyance (I am used to Canon system in this regard, just like you).

Hmm, I fear this would be at least a medium annoyance for me...

And a question for RAW shooters on the P7700: Which time is required between taking a shot and full image review with the possiblity to zoom in (in the shop, with a lousy memory card it was about 7 seconds which would be a show stopper for me...)?

Very interesting, however, in some cameras shot-to-shot times are shorter than shot-to-review times, and I somehow fear that this might be the case for the P7700.
