I had the Panasonic 14-140 on my GH2 and found the lens to be superb in it's versatility, even if it did add some extra weight to the equation.
My needs are landscape and at the other end of the spectrum, people/family shots and closeups for work plus lots of video in all manner of situations and environments. Further, for indoor work, I am keen on a fast lens because my brother has just got a D3 and having seen what it does in low light, am very jealous!
Do people think the 14-140 is still worth buying for the GH3 or are their better alternatives out there?
Panasonic certainly think so as they are offering it as the kit lens for one of the GH3 kits. If you still have the lens, certainly keep it for many of the uses you identified. However, you are unlikely to find a lens with the same versatility that also has a fast enough aperture for low light and indoor work. There are some good primes available for these purposes of which I can personally recommend the 20 f1.7 Panasonic and the 45 f1.8 Oly. (Of course there are several other great primes in the M43 armoury but I haven't used these myself.)
