Which old (used) Nikkor 55mm micro would be worth a look?

The 55 f2.8 is certainly sharp enough for the D800/E, if that is your concern.  In fact, I've compared it against the new 60G, and was hard pressed to see any differences between the 2 lenses.

Basic macro lens technology has not changed much over the years...
