I had forgotten that they offer that kind of guarantee with it.

So, that gives you plenty of time to decide if it's worth the money or not, while still taking advantage of the sale price for it by buying it now.

In any event, IMO, it's very tough to beat for $39.99 at the current sale price, especially considering that Bibble Pro was selling for $199 before Corel purchased Bibble Labs and relaunched Bibble Pro as AfterShot Pro.

Since I use Linux most of the time, being able to use the same License Key under Multiple Operating Systems makes AfterShot Pro extremely attractive, allowing me to install it in both Windows and Linux (since I've got 64 Bit Win 7 and multiple Linux distros installed in a mult-boot config on my primary desktop).

Frankly, I don't use Windows much anymore though.

But, even if I were using Windows only, I'd still go with with AfterShot Pro versus similar alternatives like Lightroom at the price point they're selling it for right now, as $39.99 is a super price (and I've spent time using both Lightroom and AfterShot Pro).

It's very fast for "culling" images, since you can quickly browse though them and assign ratings (one star, two stars, etc.), then view only images that are rated as high or higher than desired, helping you decide the images you're going to export to another format (jpeg, etc.) for printing or posting. The time savings managing images that way is tremendous.

You can do the same kind of thing with Lightroom, too. But, I like the flexibility you have with AfterShot Pro more; and I often use it's ability to show different thumbnail versus preview image sizes, etc.

In any event, I'd certainly use one of those products (AfterShot Pro or Lightroom) to help streamline your workflow, and AfterShot Pro is faster and less expensive (and is also cross platform with versions available for Windows, OS X and Linux); and also lets you browse folders of images without importing them to a Catalog first (something you don't get with Lightroom)

Although still in Beta, the next version of AfterShot Pro should be even nicer, with added GPU acceleration features that can take advantage of OpenCL. But, even without GPU acceleration, AfterShot Pro is still faster than Lightroom.
