Which dslr users are locked-in to just the mfgs lenses?  Sigma makes lenses for all of the popular mounts.  Zeiss, Cosina/Voightlander, and Samyang support Nikon and Canon for new manual focus lenses.   Any older T-mount lens can be used on any of the major brands.  Not to mention EF-mount adapters for M42, OM, F, Leica-R, Exacta/Topcon, K-mount, etc.  Yes, u4/3 and NEX allow all those and more lenses to be used (usually with different character due to the cropping) but no-one is locked-in.
