Dye inks like the printer you had and in that ink set 3 grey inks for B&W.

Hey... thanks. I spent years getting the 8750 to be JUST what I was looking for, and I assume it will take a very long time to produce acceptable output again... ten-tenths.. some questions are in order..

1. Can you comment on how's the IQ is for this? Does anything do a better job for B/W?

2. Do I have to get into non-standard ink formulations to hit it out of the park with this?

3. I could not have imagined HP getting out of the space-program end of the printing business... are the Canon supplies sufficiently available and do you see them committing long enough to the space that slow learners like me won't have to repeat the learning curve again in a couple of years?

Thanks,

Mike
