Focus issues with 24mm 1.4G

I use this lens on a D7000 and every now and then it would not focus. I just get no reaction from the lens, have to turn it around or switch the camera off etc. I have this quite often and I wonder if it's a common defect or if it's the body (other lenses don't seem to have it or a lot less).
