Wansen Hotshoe for the 5n

I bought a MSA-10 recently and although it worked, I didn't like the design.  I think needing to carry around a little screw driver to mount the thing is a little problematic. When I saw the Wansen hot shoe adapter on eBay, I thought it might be a better solution and ordered it. I got it today and it works as well as the MSA-10 on my 5n.

If you are going to use these with light weight radio triggers, then it is possible to use the adapters with just screwing them on by hand. There is a little looseness, but the radio trigger isn't probably going to put enough strain on the adapter for this to be an issue.

To use a flash on the adapter is going to require a tool to fully mount the adapter. I have a washer on my key chain to use as flat head screw driver and this works, but it isn't great. The screw slot ends up being between that bit of the hot shoe that sticks out, so it does require some work to loosen the screw with the washer. Better than using that small screw driver that comes with the MSA-10 to mount the MSA-10 though.

The Wansen adapter is a bit larger than the MSA-10, but I don't have any clearance issues with my set of Pentax to Nex adapters or the Sony 16mm and 55-210mm.

The Wansen has a PC port as well as the hot shoe. This might be useful, but I wish they would make a FA-EX1S like adapter with just the pass through for the EVF and the PC port for a trigger or flash.
