Time for a new B/W printer...

One of the aspects of my personal photographic life I have been happiest with has been the caliber of B/W printing I have been able to obtain from my HP8750 printer and HP Premium Plus photo paper... namely satin and soft gloss. My stores of paper are running down and so I just went to order some more. To my great surprise, it appears HP has decided to "improve" their papers to something that is at best a 1-star inspiration to seething reviews.

Fine... I guess this is life in the current world. Not sure if HP is still in that biz but the current change in papers marks them as 100% untrustable now, and that leaves me with....... what do I buy? I'm 95% B&W/fine art (mostly night stuff) 5%color.. I want very high IQ and I don't want to screw around with ink formulations or need to use esoteric papers. What brands/models do people here recommend for the platform?
