Hi Mike...

If you do not want to get into PP too much then an easy cheap route would be to use silkypix with minor adjustments to exposure / colour as required then save as a TIFF - then use free NI to remove the noise as desired.

Personally I use LR4 and Topaz deNoise for the most PP and only use PS5 for artistic or major changes rather than development  For most shooting I just use the camera settings and jpg and only go PP when the result does not please...
