If you take into account the difference in sensor size, the performance is pretty similar to the oly 17mm. Don't think I'm knocking it. I think I'll buy this lens, but I can understand why some are disappointed with the test results. It's clearly outdone by every other lens in the same price range and even by some that are quite a bit less expensive.

It's okay with me though. A few months from now I'll be able to get one for a little less than the introductory price, it's sharper than I need it to be and I really like some of the functionality. I'll use the manual focus a lot for video.
