RAW question

Thanks for the thorough replies.  I'm using a Panasonic G3, so yes, it will do RAW+JPG.
I have two 8 GB 133x cards , and I guess I was concerned about filling them up super fast with all that data.  I guess I could just buy more cards.  I suppose that it won't do burst in RAW?  I'll have to check the manual.
So are you saying that if I have my 20/1.7 lens on in A mode with it set down at 1.7 for a shallow depth of field, all that gets ignored in the RAW file?
