I thought it was just the opposite-default=ON.

Why did you buy the Panny 45-150 when the Oly 40-150 is the better lens and cheaper too?

On E-P1/2/3, E-PL1/2/3, E-PM1 and E-M5 an unswitched OIS Panasonic lens defaults to no OIS happening.

On E-PL5 and E-PM2 the menus allow the unswitched OIS to be on or off (named as "having priority", so not sure if ON for OIS means an auto OFF for IBIS).

In all cases the Panasonic lenses with switched OIS do operate properly by using the lens switch.
