I’m puzzled as to why anyone should want the GPS coordinate data of a location/image – unless you want to know whether you’re straddling the Equator, Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn or Greenwich Meridian etc, or standing bang on top of the North Pole or South Pole. Mind you it could be useful when you’re lost on your yacht mid-Pacific with the on-board GPS positioning system bust. However, I reckon none of those events occurs frequently for most of us. On land, a hand-held auto sat-nav is good at finding one's location.

My use is merely to locate where the image was taken by checking it in Google Maps or Google Earth, which I do via Lightroom or Sony PMB Browser. I couldn’t care what the numerical coordinates are.
