L bracket/grip for DP1M/DP2M - I used it and like it (links to vendor included)

For those who don't want to wait for the rumored RRS version, John Milich has machined and shipped an L bracket/grip combo already, and it has been reviewed favorably. $140.00 for L bracket/grip combo.

It came on Friday, and I took it out that evening to try my hand at astrophotography with the DP2M (it was a very clear night without a moon). It does what an L bracket should do, and the grip is a serious improvement in handling. Grip has a nice matte texture and a finger groove. The item is well machined. You can get at the battery/card compartment door latch easily. Switching batteries is easy. Switching or retrieving the card is fussy, simply because the clearance between the card and the bracket is small enough that you can't get a finger on both faces of the card. Tease out the released card by the bottom face. This takes a few seconds longer than usual, but is no big deal. Card switching is dead easy wearing shooting gloves with silicone tread on the finger pads.
