Serious uses for fisheye lenses?

I recently purchased a Rokinon 8mm 3.5 Fisheye lens.  So far, I've used it only once.  This would make it an excellent candidate for it being traded off in favor of some other lens that would see more action.  But there's something keeping me from parting with it.  I'd like to know for what (subjects) you find that you use your fisheye.  Is this a lens that can be used seriously?

Got examples?

I'd really like you  to help me  make a case for my keeping it.

One specific question.  I used it on my T1i.  When laying down and shooting straight up, I noticed that when aiming at the image center it seemed to show a little more of one side than the other.  In other words, I couldn't seem to nail the subject dead center so as to have the sides of the image equal.
