Kenko 1.4X 300 Pro Extender

Hi

I am thinking of buying a Kenko 1.4X 300 PRO extender for occasional use use with a Canon 300L f4. There have been a few good reviews of the Kenko, but I would value the views of any DP Review members who might have used/own it.
