How precise do you find K-01 focus peaking with a fast lens?

I am considering getting a secondhand or discounted K-01 body just to use with my M lenses, including the 50s 1.4 and 1.7 - the main attraction being focus-peaking, lacking from my K5. On Kirk Tuck's blog just now, I read this, relating to his use of a Sony Nex 7 camera with an older, Olympus Pen FT 40mm 1.4 lens: "I've stopped believing in the magic of focus peaking for wide open high speed lenses and prefer to confirm focus by hitting the magnify buttons a few times...."

Anxious to avoid wasting money, I would like to ask any other forum members to share their experience of using focus-peaking on the K-01 (or K30, come to that) with a manual 50 wide open (or any other fastish lens - I have an M100/2.8 and others that the question might equally apply to).

Please share your experience. How precise is it really? Thank you.
