I think this lens is a hair sharper (though the 12-35 is also very sharp) and suffers less than the 12-35 with CA (though I seem to recall Fuji adjusts for CA in body, so that may be software rather than optical performance).

Conversely, this lens is slower at the long end which translates into it being less able to perform in lower light. The OIS seems about as effective in each so the consequence is that the X-Pro1 pushes up the ISO quicker than, say, an E-M5 with the 12-35 mounted. The flip of that is the better quality of the X-Pro1 at high ISO.

Suffice it to say there isn't much in it and I probably need to use this more in low light to form a conclusion one way or the other!
