16-85 vs. 18-105

Thanks Erikka!  I imagine I would be doing just basic stuff, so something for Pro's would most likely over-kill.  I am not married to any brand, I just mentioned Lightroom as Fred mentioned it above and I recall a friend mentioning it as well.
