Yes, because m43 is different. Trying to emulate the Canon or trying to understand the properties of the smaller format through the properties of the bigger one's will get you disappointed.
If you accept the m43 system for what it is, you will be able to take pictures that are as good as the ones you get from the Canon, but it will be different.
