Do you use 5D III plus 24-105 as travel camera?

I have the Canon 5D mk3 with a 24-70mm USM2, I have used the 24-105 considerably and found it slow and optics not very good. The 24-70 is pin sharp and fast, It is such a diverse lens, I know it has quite a hefty price tag but if your going to spend so much on a camera body don't skip on the glass.

This lens should cover you if you wanna take away one lens.
