A99 fault in body design

I am not sure why this discussion is degenerating into some kind of bashing. Do we really want to copy what is going on in the Canikon forum?

Anyhow, the op made a statement about something that might or might not turn into a problem for him. Fair enough! Time will tell and hopefully the door will hold.

In my personal experience with numerous Sony cameras, I had never had a problem with either water getting into the camera (and I shoot regularly in strong rain, without covering up the camera) nor did ever come a door loose. I have to actually say, so far none of my cameras ever caused me any issues.

If one looks at the Canikon forums and sees what they are dealing with, then I have to say that I am very happy with what Sony produces. Did we ever have a real problem such as the left AF issue with the D800 or the AF issues with quite a few top Canon cameras? Or oil on the sensor??? Or colour cast problems, wb problems, banding issues....? As far as I remember, the answer is no.

I sincerely believe though that we should be grown up enough to be able to discuss potential issues without feeling the need to defend our camera system as if it were about life and death. Not every person who mentionsa potential issue is a troll.
