A99 Poor backlight AF performance :(

Tested the A99 extensively and found the AF performed poorly on back light subject.  Particularly during the "golden hour"

I had to use my hand to shield my subject for the AF to focus, even had a lens hood on, no change.

AF performed similar to Canon 5D which is particularly disappointing.

Ironically my NEX7 has no issues focusing with back light.  the A99 hunts and never gets lock.
